Consumer Education

Dylla has extensive practical experience in designing and delivering consumer education programs including financial education, homeownership education and counseling, adult education techniques and more. He has also acted as a trainer at the NeighborWorks Training Institutes and other national "training for trainers" programs. Examples of this work include:

  • Trainer for "Homebuyer Education Methods: Training for Trainers" at NeighborWorks Training Institutes (1993-2005);
  • Curriculum developer and trainer for "Financial Education Methods" class at NeighborWorks Training Institute (2001-2005);
  • Curriculum developer and lead trainer for "Mortgage Default Counseling" class for statewide Ohio Foreclosure Prevention Initiative (April 2006);
  • Writer for new post-purchase module for Freddie Mac's CreditSmart financial education curriculum (2006);
  • Trainer for "Combating Predatory Lending" and "Marketing Your Homeownership Program for Maximum Results" (2006-2008);
  • Curriculum developer and trainer for "Community Organizing Strategies to Promote Homeownership, Fight Predatory Lending and Prevent Foreclosures (2007-2009); and
  • Reviewer and adviser to eHome America ( -- an online homeownership education tool developed by Community Ventures Corporation.
Consumer Education
